Aikon Bookport was founded in 2021 by Aila Joy Tan, with a simple dream to create books that spark imagination and bring joy to children.
At Aikon Bookport, we believe that stories have the power to inspire, teach, and build lasting memories. Our books are lovingly crafted to encourage children to fall in love with reading while also giving parents and guardians meaningful moments to share with their little ones.
As we grow, our vision is to bring more stories and creative materials to life, stories that nurture curiosity, support children’s growth, and build positive reading habits that will last a lifetime.
About the Author and Illustrator
Aila Joy Tan is the author and illustrator of Aikon Bookport. She holds a degree in Psychology and has experience teaching social communication skills to children with special needs. Her love for kids and passion for teaching inspired her to create learning books like Fun Learning from A to Z with Animal Friends and The Animalpedia Collection. Aila’s dream of making children's books began in childhood and was reignited during her first pregnancy. Today, she brings imagination to life through poetic storytelling in her latest picture book series, Bob the Spider. She self-publishes with the support of her loving family and a heart full of creativity.

Firstly, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to God, who blessed me with the talent and skills for embarking on this wonderful journey. It is through His unceasing guidance, wisdom, divine provision and grace that I find myself on this path today.
Secondly, I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to my ever-supportive husband. His presence and unwavering support have been constants throughout this entire venture. From the earliest stages of planning to the grand launch and every day since, he has been my rock, steadfastly standing by my side during both the soaring triumphs and the challenging moments that have come.
Thirdly, I dedicate this endeavor to my two beloved sons. They are my perpetual wellspring of inspiration, reminding me daily of the importance of my journey's purpose. Their innocent curiosity, boundless energy, and pure joy in learning serve as a continuous reminder of the significance of the work we are doing.
Last but not least, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our families. Their unwavering support and prayers have been a great foundation of strength and hope as we set out on this incredible journey.
